One of the best honeymoon destinations!
A honeymoon in Greece & a fun photo shoot in Plaka Athens.
Aloha! This is a story from Hawaii to Greece! Greece is known all over the world to be one of the best honeymoon destinations, for sure! Julia and Jason flew over from distant Hawaii to discover the hidden gems of Greece. So, when people from such a magical and popular place say that Athens is one of the most beautiful cities they have visited, it means a lot! Julia is a talented wedding & portrait photographer herself. You can check her work at her website. A common thing between us, photographers, is that we can’t have pictures of ourselves, so Julia asked me to make some for her and her husband Jason. We wondered around the Plaka area, just under the hill of Acropolis. The colourful houses and narrow alleys were the perfect backdrop for a playful and joyful couple like these two lovebirds 🙂
It’s always a great honour to be selected by another photographer! Thank you Julia & Jason for an amazing time and for being a great couple!
Words from the Couple
“My husband and I recently had a belated holiday and Greece, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get some professional pictures of ourselves. I myself am a professional photographer, and am extremely particular in choosing a photographer for myself. Maybe I didn’t search hard enough for photographers (partially because as soon as I came across Elias’s work I was sold) but Elias portfolio seemed to be far above any other photographers in Athens / Santorini. His style is exactly what I prefer. Its warm, romantic, natural, and captures the scenery just as much as the people. As hard a critic as I am on photographers, I am equally as hard on myself in pictures. I don’t know how he did it, but every picture Elias took of me makes me feel beautiful. He knows his lighting and angles to make sure that you look your best. On top of all of this, he’s just a really awesome person to work with. Even though I was nervous before the shoot and had a disaster of a day looking for a decent wardrobe and was a good 30 minutes late, as soon as my husband and I got there he put us at ease, didn’t rush us and allowed us to open up naturally in front of the camera. He made the shoot funny and fun. I can’t thank you enough Elias for a beautiful afternoon, with memories I will treasure forever. You are truly a master!”
