Villa Balbiano, Lake Como | Italy
Villa Balbiano is probably the most famous wedding venues in Lake Como, and recently draw even more attention with the movie “House of Gucci”. Villa Balbiano is also one of the most popular choices for weddings in Lake Como and for many good reasons. As a photographer, the main reasons that I love Villa Balbiano is that it provides great interior spaces for your getting ready part, provides many photographic opportunities in its gardens as well as setting up the ceremony, dinner and cocktail area. It is enchanting and will certainly indulge you in the Lake Como wedding experience. Villa Balbiano is ideal for weddings from 50 to 150 guests, so the areas don’t look and feel either empty or overcrowded. Martina, from Exclusive Italy Weddings, is one of the best wedding planners I have worked with and made the day roll perfectly. Jenny & Sho, the couple that got married at Villa Balbiano, made sure to enjoy their wedding day at the fullest, taking it all in. And that’s what every wedding photographer asks. The couple made their best of their destination wedding at Lake Como by having a pre-wedding photoshoot as well. It goes without saying that you can’t have a photo session at Lake Como without using one of the traditional boats, the famous Venetian taxi. Another idea that I would like to share with you is to make the most of your wedding venue, as on your special day some places might not be accessible for pictures. So we started the shooting by using all of Villa Balbiano’s majestic interior spaces before heading out for the second part of the shoot at the lake.
