Villa Pizzo, Lake Como | Italy
Villa Pizzo is one of the most renowned venues for a destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy. For all the right reasons! The venue stretches out along the shores of Lake Como, providing gorgeous views of the lake, it’s very close to Cernobbio, which is very helpful for accommodation logistics for your guests, and it’s one of the most versatile venues in Lake Como. Lots of different spaces you can use, for the ceremony, the reception and the cocktail area. Nicole & Colton fell in love with Villa Pizzo and they decided to have their wedding there at the end of July. Leandra and her team from Eventoile always amaze me with their creations and high level of aesthetics. I was so excited to photograph this wedding in Villa Pizzo once I got to see the moodboard. Even more so when meeting my clients in person as their personalities and vibes are so kind and positive. The one thing that we couldn’t do anything about was the weather. All the predictions were against us. We were expecting thunderstorms right at the time the ceremony was supposed to end. Eventoile, were fully prepared and setup a huge marquee. The day started off with sunshine and we were all hoping that the weather forecast would be wrong. But it wasn’t. Right after the ceremony at the Darsena of Villa Pizzo, it began. Chairs, tables, couches and the whole cocktail area were moved inside in a hurry. In my years of documenting destination weddings. I’ve come across situations like this where usually the bride is panicking, thinking that her special day is ruined. But not Nicole. She wouldn’t let anything get in the way. Together with the groom, they continued enjoying their time with their guests and had one of the wildest parties ever. Lesson to be learned. Never worry about the things you can’t control. Enjoy and take it all in, after all you’re getting married once. Make it count, especially when you’re having your wedding at one of the best venues in Lake Como!

WOW. If you’re looking for a fun, professional, and absolutely astonishing photographer in Europe, look no further! Truly cannot recommend Elias and his team enough. My husband and I are from the US and got married in Lake Como, IT in July 2021. From our first video call with him in 2020, Elias made us feel at ease (even though we knew we wouldn’t meet him until the day before our wedding for our welcome event shoot, given COVID travel restrictions). He did a great job providing background on what he would do ahead of our first meeting with him (e.g. scoping out our venue so we didn’t waste any time day-of on where to take portraits, do the first look, etc.) and also mailed us a beautiful book with details on his photography style, picture considerations, and other useful information. While we got to pick as many portraits as we wanted, what I loved most were the candid shots he took throughout the weekend. He has a knack for capturing beautiful moments in the details! Elias and his second photographer, George, were both phenomenal (literally, all of our wedding guests couldn’t stop talking about them) and I hope to be able to work with them both again at some point.
