A lot of couples haven’t familiarised themselves with the idea of an engagement session and often ask themselves if it’s worth it and why should they invest in one. The short answer is that an engagement session is a great value for money. There are two ways to plan for your engagement session. When you’re planning a destination wedding, you can make the best of it by enjoying some quiet time and exploring more of the beautiful location and its hidden treasures. The other way is taking advantage of working with a destination wedding photographer, like myself. As I am visiting a lot of picturesque places every year, like Paris, Tuscany, Provence, Lake Como and so on, we can schedule a portrait session at a location that is high on your bucket list.
The concept of the engagement session has evolved a lot in the recent years and what used to be something simple and sometimes boring, can now be an exciting experience! Take as an example the following portrait session, part of an editorial shoot on one of the best Greek islands, Naxos. The couple spent a romantic afternoon at the beach where the groom-to-be brought his guitar, the enjoyed a pic-nic and some local delicacies. There was even a typical fisherman’s boat to accentuate the true feeling of a summer in Greece.
Let’s find your ideal location for your engagement session and spice it up with exciting elements to create art that you will treasure for life!
