Gordes is a small village in Provence that has a special charm. It’s situated on top of a hill overlooking the Luberon valley. One of the most famous wedding venues in Provence, La Bastide de Gordes is right at the entrance of the village. The village is very picturesque and well photographed by many destination wedding photographers. I was on a road-trip in the South of France with my wife and we wouldn’t miss the chance of stopping by. Actually, the view of the village was so captivating that I wanted to enjoy it both during sunset and sunrise. Waking up early in the morning to visit a quiet village like Gordes in Provence and visiting the local market to buy some lavender soap is one of the memories that I will cherish for long time. If you’re planning your destination wedding in Provence, you should definitely consider La Bastide de Gordes and enjoy the experience!

The route in Provence is filled with little farmhouses and vineyards. We visited this part of South of France in late September which unfortunately is not the best time to enjoy the lavender fields in full bloom. So another visit is a must!
