Villa Cimbrone, Amalfi | Italy
Planing a wedding in Italy? If you’re looking at the southern part, in the Amalfi Coast, please know that one of Italy’s best venues is Villa Cimbrone in Ravello. I feel very thankful to the couples that have trusted me with their wedding photography in Italy, as just a few weeks after I photographed this amazing wedding in Lake Como, I got a chance to visit it again. This time I traveled south, to the gorgeous Amalfi coast, to photograph this ultra-romantic intimate wedding in Villa Cimbrone! Italy is romantic and elegant as is, but seeing all the beauty of Ravello and the jaw-dropping view of the terrace of infinity in Villa Cimbrone is a lifetime experience. I must confess in this point why I love destination weddings so much. Visiting new places gets me inspired, gets my heart pumping faster and sparks my creativity. I always let my couples know that the question you should ask your destination wedding photographer is “Would you be excited to visit this destination and that venue?” rather than just trying to make sure your photographer has been there before. A few things to share from this beautiful wedding in Villa Cimbrone. Heather and Joe, chose to elope in Amalfi after reviewing some of the best wedding destinations of the area, like Sorrento, Positano and the island of Capri. The village of Ravello is for sure, the most romantic wedding location. When they finished their preparations, we had the chance to roam the amazing Villa Cimbrone gardens and make some of my fave images. Then we headed off to the Ruins Basilica Sant’Eustachio where the ceremony took place and enjoyed their elopement dinner with the best view of Amalfi, at the NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi.
