Rocabella hotel, Santorini | Greece
Aaron and Elizabeth’s wedding in Rocabella Hotel Santorini was a romantic floral chic wedding. The couple with a few friends and family members flew to Santorini to hold a small and intimate outdoor wedding. When a couple chooses the wedding theme often overlooks the wedding location. But not Aaron and Elizabeth. They planned a destination wedding in Santorini having in mind both Santorini’s vibes and their love.
The wedding style
From the wedding invitation to the wedding decoration, all reflected the atmosphere of Santorini. The floral chic styled wedding embraces an element of nature in a relaxed and elegant way. In this wedding, the view, the natural light along with the romantic floral arrangements of bougainvillea flowers were the primary elements. The soft and delicate hues of the bridal bouquet, the bridesmaid’s bouquets and the boutonnieres of the groom and the groomsmen were a perfect match with the minimal floral arch. This arch was less of a structure backdrop for the wedding ceremony and more of a sign to point up the dazzling view over the Caldera. It also served as a stunning setup for some of the wedding photos and portraits. Elizabeth chose an airy wedding dress by Marchesa Fashion and handmade bridal shoes by Bella Belle that skyrocketed the chic style of the wedding.
The wedding venue: Rocabella Hotel in Santorini
One of the most popular and luxury wedding venues in Santorini and for good reason. The location of this venue between Fira and Imerovigli is ideal to hold a wedding ceremony and reception with the scenery of the Volcano view that captivates everyone. And I have to mention that the experienced staff of Rocabella hotel puts every guest at ease with their expertise and professionalism.
The wedding photoshoot
As a wedding photographer, I shoot each year plenty of weddings in Santorini and especially at this wedding venue in Rocabella Hotel. But every time, at every wedding, even if the location is the same, I get to see it from a different perspective because of the people, their emotions and their beauty. Aaron and Elizabeth’s wedding in Rocabella Hotel was not an exception. After the ceremony, we withdrew from the guests to have a more relaxed portrait photo shoot, at the exact right time. It was then I realized that their profound connection and love perfectly resonate the allure of the sunset in Santorini.
Tip: Consult with your wedding photographer what time will be best for your portrait photoshoot and make together a wedding timeline. At the right time, the daylight can enhance your wedding photos. Working in the special light of the Greek islands can be difficult for a non-experienced photographer.
It’s a pleasure to be a wedding photographer in Santorini!
